Basic Job Requirements

I am qualified to teach a language other than English. Do you offer classes in other languages?

Being qualified to teach more than one language is great! Generally, teachers are required to teach only English. However, if a prospective student desires to learn a language other than English and there is a qualified teacher, we will offer them a private class.

Application Package

Why do you need a photo for application?

In Japan, all job applicants are required to send photos when they apply for a job.

Can I apply while I'm still a student?

Yes, provided you will receive your diploma and will be eligible for a working visa three months before the position start date. It generally takes up to three months to process a working visa from beginning to end, and you must have a Bachelor's degree in order to qualify for it.

Do you want a cover letter?

Yes, please.

Should I send anything else with my resume and recent photo?

Yes, also please include a cover letter. For further details, please see the section of our website titled How to Apply.

Can I e-mail you to let you know that I'm sending a resume by airmail? (I'm worried that the job will be filled while the post office does its job.)

Please submit a complete application package by email. We do not accept faxed or airmail application packages.

Can I e-mail you with a question not answered on this site?

Yes, please. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have. Please understand, though, that some questions can only be answered for successful applicants.
