for a full-time English teaching position starting in August 2026.

Here at ABC Plus we believe in creating a fun, interactive, and comfortable learning
environment for our students. We strive to create an interest in English and foster a positive learning experience. To that end,
we keep our classes small, capped at 6 students per class, and only have a big schedule change once a year. This gives teachers
the chance to really get to know their students and build the trust needed for a cooperative and enjoyable classroom environment.
We also believe in providing proper support and guidelines for our teachers
without hindering their creativity and unique teaching styles. We aim to provide teachers with an environment where they feel
supported and can grow as educators while teaching students of varying ages and English abilities. We at ABC Plus believe that
for teachers to provide exceptional lessons they need to enjoy their working environment and feel secure and supported. We thus
offer teachers assistance with all aspects of living in Japan – from registering at the ward office to doctor’s appointments and
translation help.

Regarding references:References from an employer are preferred, but
academic references
are also suitable, so please feel free to include ones from professors or trainers. If reference
letters are not yet available, please list the names and the email addresses of the references. We

Criminal Record or Vulnerable Sector checks do not need to be included when you send us your
application package. However, if your application is successful, we will ask for them later in the

Within one week of receiving the application package, successful applicants will be offered an online
interview with the head teacher.
We are sorry, but we cannot reply to every inquiry and

Applicants who pass the first interview will have a second interview with the school’s director.

If the interviewee receives an offer of employment from ABC Plus, we will send them a copy of the Contract and Business Entrustment, which they should sign and return to ABC Plus.

From this point on, the next steps and important information will be shared via
email. In order to obtain a working visa, teachers must first
be granted a Certificate of
Eligebility.
ABC Plus will request the CoE but we ask that teachers stay in close communication
with the school during the processing of the CoE and have the following documents ready to submit:

ABC Plus will pick new teachers up from the airport in Nagoya and take
them to their new
accommodation, however, the teacher is responsible for arranging their own flight/transportation to
Japan. Upon the completion
of their one-year contract, teachers will receive an airfare remuneration
bonus of up to 50,000 yen.
It is recommended to bring between 100,000 and 150,000 yen with you to
Japan to get you through until
your first paycheck. Of course, the amount
of money you choose to bring should depend on how you
plan to spend
your free time. Keep in mind that your first paycheck may not be a full
month's
salary, because you may not have been working for a full month.
It is not advised to bring or traveler's checks. Cash in Japanese
yen is the best option; however, some stores and ATMs
will accept foreign
debit and credit cards.
